National and international consultations include programs with
governments and organisations regarding access guidelines, policies
and legislation. AA directors have participated as members of
relevant Standards Australia Committees since 1974, including
initiation and evolution of the AS 1428 suite of standards.
Access policies and programs for state and local governments
include DDA Action Plans and strategies for University of Technology
Sydney and University of New England; Shoalhaven, Blacktown and
Liverpool NSW local government areas; Telstra, Olympic Coordination
Authority and the Sydney Opera House.
Transport and public domain programs include Sydney ferries,
low floor buses, Olympic Roads & Transport Authority (ORTA)
rail access program, NSW Maritime wharf access program, Sydney
2000 Olympic & Paralympic Games public domain and local government
streetscapes.
Design
Access assessments, reports and recommendations for state and
local government include NSW Department of Commerce, City of Sydney,
and Blacktown, Fairfield, Great Lakes, Liverpool, North Sydney,
Penrith, Pittwater, Shoalhaven, Sutherland and Waverley Councils.
Access programs and strategies include Sydney International Airport
1995 to date, Homebush Bay Hotel, Olympic Multi Use Arena, Olympic
Village, Media Village – and residential, hotel, retail
and commercial projects with architects and clients including
AMP, Bovis Lend Lease, Multiplex, Stockland and Westfield.
Access assessments, reports and recommendations for government
and statutory authorities including University of Western Sydney,
University of Sydney, NSW Department of Commerce, City of Sydney,
and Blacktown, Fairfield, Great Lakes, Liverpool, North Sydney,
Penrith, Pittwater, Shoalhaven, Sutherland and Waverley Councils.
