The directors
of Access Australia provide over 25 years of Australian and international
access advocacy, legislation, planning and design experience.
Director Michael Fox is actively involved in access related international
programs through RI
and RI
Australia and the UN Convention on the Rights of
Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).
Major projects range from the Sydney 2000 Olympic
& Paralympic Games and numerous local government access programs
– to current residential, retail and commercial projects
for a wide range of architects, developers and government agencies.
Access Australia (AA) programs and reports provide
a holistic approach based on the Process
of Access and AA programs relate to the APS, BCA,
relevant Australian Standards, including the AS1428 suite, and
applicable local authority access requirements.
Access Australia (AA) programs and reports refer
to the BCA, relevant Australian Standards including AS1428, and
other applicable access requirements. AA reports and recommendations
relate to the 2010 DDA Access to Premises Standard (APS) and applicable
BCA 2011. The intent of the APS is to harmonise access provisions
with the complaints based DDA.
